New airline regulations could make traveling cheaper

Posted

New airline regulations could make travel cheaper.

The Obama Administration issued new requirements. At the top of the list is a requirement for airlines to refund baggage fees if the bags are "substantially delayed."

Airlines must also clarify all fees charged for seating, boarding preferences and luggage.

The U.S. Department of Transportation is urging airlines to collect more information on late flights, mishandled bags and damaged wheelchairs.

No start date is specified for these regulations.
