and last updated
A mom is making headlines after hearing comments made by Maine's Governor Paul LePage last week.

Becca Edwards posted pictures of her biracial family on social media, saying LePage's words were "cruel, infuriating, insulting and full of hate."

During a townhall meeting last week, Gov. LePage said drug dealers coming to Maine were named things like "D-Money" and were "impregnating young white women" before they leave.

The governor released a semi-apology over the weekend blaming the media for twisting his words and said he made a "slip up."

Edwards' post has been shared more than 100,000 times over the weekend.
