Support continues to mount for the family of Staff Sgt. Mark De Alencar who was killed in Afghanistan.
De Alencar, 37, was from Edgewood, Maryland. He was a member of the First Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group. He leaves behind a wife and five children.
His uncle, Jansen Robinson said his nephew re-enlisted to take care of his growing family. Earlier this week, he said he was stunned to hear of De Alencar's death.
"You never think that it would happen to you," he said. "You just never think that that would happen until it actually happens."

Robinson said sacrifice was in De Alencar's character.
"He wanted to be the best of the best and so that's why he went to special forces. That's something you want to do," he said.
