VIDEO: GoPro video shows Six Flags roller coaster rescue

Prince George’s County Fire officials released GoPro video captured during the four-hour roller coaster rescue at Six Flags America.

Twenty-four riders were trapped for hours on the Joker’s Jinx after the roller coaster stalled 80 feet above the ground at a 30-degree angle Thursday night, fire officials said.

Rescue teams were alerted at 5:35 p.m. and removed the riders one-by-one from their seats and onto a tower ladder bucket.

One such rescue is clearly visible in the GoPro footage.

The last of the riders, who ranged in age from six to 45 years old, was lowered to the ground just before 9:30 p.m.
