Police say Tuesday, Trooper First Class Allison Oyler was conducting traffic enforcement in Hollywood, Maryland, when the marked patrol car she was operating struck an ambulance.
The collision occurred as Oyler was traveling southbound on MD Rt. 235, with emergency lights activated, when a Hollywood Volunteer Rescue ambulance pulled out from Rescue Lane into the troopers path of travel.
Oyler was transported to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police helicopter for injuries sustained. The driver of the ambulance, Gregory Casoni, 63 and passenger George Newton, 67 were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
