Teen walking on train tracks struck by MARC train near Laurel

LAUREL, Md. — MTA Maryland is reporting that a teenage boy was struck by a MARC train after walking on the tracks.

Officials say MARC Camden Train 859 en route to Washington D.C. hit the boy near the 8400 block of Holly Street in Laurel Monday evening.

According to Prince George's Fire Department the teen was transported by medics to a Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.

As a result, Train 859 has been terminated and will drop of passengers at Greenbelt Station. Train 858 has been canceled and Train 860 will be delayed.
