BOWIE, Md. (WMAR) — An investigation is underway after a MARC train struck and killed a pedestrian on Sunday night.
Prince George's County Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of Flemming Road, just north of Bowie Station.
MTA officials said Penn Line Train 694 was involved, which departed Washington D.C.s Union Station at around 7:30 p.m.
Investigators are trying to identify the deceased pedestrian and find out what led up to the incident
Officials say a train coming from Baltimore picked up and transferred impacted passengers.
