A police officer has been involved in a shooting in Prince George’s County. Police say the incident occurred Monday morning in the 8800 block of Woodyard Rd Clinton, Maryland.
Police say officers responded to an alarm call at a fast food restaurant at 3:40 a.m. where they found a suspect inside at a safe. Police then set up a perimeter and called for the suspect to surrender. One officer alerted the others when they saw the suspect with a weapon before he came out of a side door with the weapon in his hand. An officer shot at the suspect, striking him once.
They immediately began administering aid to the suspect and rushed him to the hospital where he died. No officers were injured.
Police released a photo of the suspect’s gun and confirm the incident was recorded on an officer’s in-car camera.
