Police in suburban Washington say a man stabbed his two young children hours after he sexually assaulted a woman who lives in his home.
Prince George's County police say both of the children who were stabbed Saturday night are under the age of five. Police say they were taken to hospitals with injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.
Police say the children's father, 25-year-old Christian Dillard, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. Police say he was at his District Heights home along with other relatives at the time of the stabbings.
Earlier Saturday, police say Dillard sexually assaulted a woman at the same address. Police say the victim was an ex-girlfriend of Dillard's.
Dillard is being held without bond. Court records don't list an attorney for him.
