Over 15 people, pets displaced after two-alarm fire in Laurel

LAUREL, md. — A two-alarm apartment building fire on Friday in Prince George's County left multiple people injured.

At 2:50a.m., Firefighters responded to a fire on the 9100 block of Scott Adam Court in Laurel.

When Firefighters arrived, all three levels of the building were on fire and three occupants were trapped on a balcony.

As of 4:20a.m. the fire has been put out.

Seven residents were rescued and four people have been transported to hospitals. One person has life threatening injuries, Two have non life threatening injuries and one was taken in for evaluation. Three additional patients refused transport.

Emergency Management assisted a total of 12 adults, four children, one dog and two cats displaced from their homes.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the fire.
