A man is arrested following a road rage incident.
Roderick Jerome Wolfe, 33, of Baltimore has been charged with first degree assault.
Maryland State Police say a witness approached a trooper just before 5 p.m. on Thursday reporting an assault between two motorists on I-495 in Prince George's County. The witness claimed a man with a machete punched another man in the face.
Shortly after, the victim arrived at the troopers location near the exit of Branch Avenue. The victim told police he and another man had an argument while stuck in traffic. Both exited their vehicles, when according to the victim, the suspect displayed a machete and proceeded to punch the victim in the face.
Troopers were able to catch up with and positively identify Roderick Wolfe as the suspect, at which time he was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed Wolfe had a suspended drivers license. The commercial vehicle operated by Wolfe was towed for safekeeping.
