U.S. Rep. C.A. "Dutch" Ruppersberger has been elected to his eighth term in office.
Ruppersberger, a Democrat, defeated Maryland Del. Pat McDonough, a Republican, and Libertarian Kristin Kasprzak.
He was first elected to the House in 2002.
