Howard County police are investigating a crash that left an Elkridge teenager dead Saturday night.
Police said Sahan Tilaka Kalegana Koralage, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Governor Warfield Parkway near Windstream Drive.
Investigators believe the teen was driving west on Governor Warfield Parkway in 2012 Honda Civic when he lost control and hit a tree around 9:20 Saturday night.
Kolarage was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
Excessive speed may played a role in the crash, authorities said.
