Missing 13-year-old Howard County girl found safe

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. — *UPDATE: Missing Clarksville girl Jinyue Zhang has been located unharmed.

Howard County police are asking for the public's help to find a missing 13-year-old girl from Clarksville.

Police say Jinyue Zhang is believed to have left her home in the 12900 block of Kentbury Drive on foot sometime after midnight on Thursday.

Her parents discovered her missing at about 7 a.m. and contacted police. Zhang has not previously run away and does not have a cell phone with her.

Police have made extensive area checks around her residence, including using K-9s and drones; have contacted her friends in the area; and checked local shopping centers and businesses, but have been unable to locate her.

Zhang is 5'6", weighs 100 pounds with a scar on her forehead. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing when she left other than black and pink shoes.
