Friday night is Old Ellicott City's 39th annual Midnight Madness celebration.
The entire family can visit Santa Claus from 4 to 8 p.m. Thomas Issac Log Cabin, watch the tree lighting and get some holiday shopping done.
Shops will be open late, there will be carolers, period actors, and a Winter Holiday Market.
A free shuttle bus will be available from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. running from the Howard County Courthouse parking lots and St. Peter Episcopal Church.
