The Howard County Council is expected to vote on new legislation Wednesday dealing with mold in classrooms and how the school system spends its money.
Council Chair Calvin Ball asked the Howard County Sustainability Board back in August to expand the scope of its report on mold in schools.
Ball wants the board to include its review of the latest air quality tests conducted by the county's Department of Public Works following parent's requests for more transparency.
In an effort to seek more transparency, the councilman also proposed a bill that would allow the Howard County Office of Law to take any civil action if the Howard County Public School System fails to comply with a county mandated financial audit.
