A playground fire in Aberdeen caused an estimated $2,000 in damages, and the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
Around 2:30 p.m., a passerby noticed the playground on Taft Street was on fire. The fire began around the mulch area of the playground equipment and took about five minutes to control. No one was hurt.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844.
