EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) — A community is coming together to support a grieving family.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Tim Youngquist was delivering food in Edgewood Sunday night when he was shot and killed during an attempted robbery.

His fiance started a GoFundMeto help support her and their 5-year-old son, but a restaurant where Tim worked years ago is stepping in to help.

Pat's Pizzeria in Edgewood is donating 10% of all dining room sales through Sunday to Tim's family.

"It's a close knit community out here in that sense. Everybody knows everybody and it's one thing to see a statistic in the news, not that we should ever consider anyone passing a statistic, but this is someone we knew and so it's our responsibility to do something about it," general manager Peter Hill said.

"You hear about the story even a little bit and if it doesn't tug on your heart strings, I don't know so to me, it's a no brainer. Come out and get a pizza or even a sub or anything," Tom Kucan, who came to the restaurant specifically for the fundraiser, said.

Investigators say three men were seen running from the crime scene. The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information to please call Detective Donald Kramer at 443-409-3546.
