Firefighters rescued a dog from a townhouse fire Saturday night in Joppa, Md. Tyler Dailey, son of slain Harford County Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey, was part of the rescue crew.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 900 block of Joppa Farm Road after an odor of smoke was detected. Crews arrived to the townhouse to find an unattended cooking fire on the stove.

The fire was extinguished and no residents were present at the time of the blaze, yet a dog was found unconscious inside the home.
The dog, rescued by firefighters Tyler Dailey and Greg Scowden, received medical oxygen through a special mask created just for dogs.
Officials say the dog regained consciousness and was handed over to neighbors.
