$2k cash reward offered in armed robbery at Edgewood Popeyes

EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) — A cash reward is being offered for information on an armed robbery that took place at a Popeyes in Edgewood.

It happened on Friday around 11:38 p.m. after the business had closed.

Two masked men wearing all black clothing entered through an unlocked door.

One of the men pulled a handgun and demanded cash and cellphones from several employees who were closing up.

After stealing the property, both men fled. No employees were injured.

This particular Popeyes on Woodbridge Center Way, has received frequent police attention as of late.

The same week of the robbery, Harford County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the restaurant three times in as many days.

Two of the occasions were for employees fighting, one of which was caught on video, and the other was for a dispute between an employee and customer.

No arrests have been made in either of those cases.
