DENTON, Md. — A man riding a lawn tractor is dead after being hit by a pickup truck along Maryland's Eastern Shore.
It happened Wednesday afternoon on Burrsville Road in Denton.
That's where 42-year-old Joel Garcia was operating a John Deere on the shoulder of the roadway.
Maryland State Police say for unknown reasons a Toyota Tundra veered onto the shoulder striking Garcia's mower, killing him.
The 32-year-old Toyota driver was also hospitalized. It's unclear if they'll face any charges.
