PERRYVILLE, Md. — Dozens of firefighters spent 45 minutes battling a fire in the 1800 block of Perryville Road in the middle of the night.
The Community Fire Company of Perryville responded around 12:40 a.m. to a two-story home engulfed in flames.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire, but it appears to have started in an exterior porch.
The fire is estimated to have caused $250,000 in damage to the home. The people who lived there are being helped out by family members.
