A woman is dead after a fire broke out at a Hotel in Baltimore County early Wednesday morning.
Baltimore County Fire officials responded to call about a fire at a Days Inn at 1660 Whitehead Court in Woodlawn around 12:20 a.m.
When Fire Fighters arrived they found an odor of burning and found the fire in a room on the second floor. There they found a 61-year-old woman, later identified as Darline Nelson Grady, in critical condition.
She was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Crews were able to put out the fire and determined it was caused by improperly discarded smoking materials.
