Towson Town Center announced significant upgrades to its parking system Tuesday.
Upgrades include color-coded parking decks for quick navigation and easier recall, enhanced signage and lighting, and a parking space guidance system.
The system monitors every available parking space through red and green lights and displays the number of open spaces available in each deck, level, and row.
Towson Town Center is the only shopping center in Maryland to have this parking system.
Officials say the time it took to find a parking spot under the new system fell 44% and the number of drivers looking for a spot for more than five minutes dropped 12%.
In addition to the renovations outside of the mall, Sports Etc., Rainbow, and Foam City will be open for the holiday season.
