The Vogt house raises money for autistic child

Posted

You went to Harrogate Road as a kid. Now as a parent you’re taking your baby to Harrogate Road.

For nearly 30 years this Abingdon home has lit it up.  But Scott Vogt or Clark Griswald Jr wants to retire and live life away from the bright lights.

He engineers his thoughts in July.  Starts stringing in October and finishes on Thanksgiving.  His BGE bill runs 600 dollars. But the money raised for neighbor Ryan is worth it.

Ryan is autistic and for 12 years Scott has raised money to send him to summer camp and stuff insurance doesn’t cover.

What started out as a neighborly contest turns into a great cause.
