Another step forward in the plans to expand Stanley Black & Decker" in Baltimore County.
The Baltimore County Council approved a two million conditional loan from the state economic development fund. In addition, the county is matching 10 percent, or about 200-thousand dollars, of that two million dollar loan.

Stanley Black & Decker is investing $8.5 million into the project which includes new office space at Greenleigh at Baltimore Crossroads in the White Marsh/Middle River area. The expansion will create 400 new jobs.
The company says they'll be looking to hire people in electrical and electromechanical engineering, as well as digital and brand marketing, finance, and human resources. The average salary will be around $60,000.
It's not clear when Black & Decker will begin to break ground on its new office space.
