Several businesses were evacuated Monday afternoon after a gas line break on York Road.
Officials say the break happened at 2023 York Road between Crowther Ave and Belfast Road. Crews found dangerous levels of gas in a basement under businesses.
BGE is on the scene and no injuries are reported at this time.
Baltimore County Emergency Management says the gas has been shut down and gas levels are back to normal.
Crews are clearing the scene of the break. All lanes are now open on York Road between Timonium and Aylesbury.
