Police shooting sends one to the hospital Monday morning in Baltimore County

PARKVILLE, Md. — A person is hospitalized after being shot by Baltimore County Police on Monday morning.

It happened along White Marsh Boulevard (MD-43) between I-695 and Walther Boulevard.

All we know right now is police received multiple 911 calls from motorists about an armed person in the area.

Arriving officers encountered a suspect, and reportedly ordered him to drop a weapon.

At some point the altercation led to police firing, striking the man.

Police would not specify what the man was armed with, but said he did not shoot at officers.

The suspect is expected to survive his injuries.

As of 12:30pm Monday all traffic along White Marsh Boulevard is reopened.
