June 14 is Flag Day. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the holiday first declared by President Woodrow Wilson.
In Essex, the Pause for the Pledge was hosted at Trinity Temple Church. A new American flag was dedicated at the ceremony. It's now the largest flag in Essex.
The 20 foot by 36 foot flag is the same size as the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star Spangled Banner.
