“We are thrilled to be opening another reading room in Maryland,” said Candy Carson. “The reading room project began in Maryland and has grown so much and expanded so far over the last 18 years, so being back in Baltimore County feels like coming home! The Carson Scholars Fund remains committed to creating environments where children can continue to develop and learn. This space-themed room will serve as a launchpad to instill a love of reading and learning at an early age. We would like to extend a hearty thank you to Louis and Phyllis Friedman for investing in the Pikesville community and in its children.”
This is now the fifth school in Pikesville to get a reading room. There are 179 Ben Carson Reading Rooms in 22 states and Washington D.C.
