Baltimore County Police are looking for a man wanted in Baltimore County and City.

Eric Carter, 23, has warrants out for his arrest on assault, theft, and burglary charges.

Police said he is known to frequent the North Longwood corridor and Poplar Grove corridor in West Baltimore.

On April 17, Carter is accused of stealing a Honda that was left running in the parking lot of the BP gas station at 2801 Edmonson Avenue. The owner stepped into the store and police said Carter jumped into the driver's seat and started to drive away.

The owner ran back to his truck and tried to stop Carter. He managed to open the driver side door to try and stop the theft but was dragged until he fell to the ground. He was seriously inured and taken to the hospital.

About a half an hour later, police attempted to stop the stolen Honda which led to a police pursuit.

Police said Carter got away and ended up at a woman's home in the 100 block of Circle Terrace in Halethorpe.

The woman in the home woke up to find the contents of her purse emptied onto her living room floor, more than $13,000 worth of things stolen, including her truck.

The stolen Honda was found parked in her back yard.

Baltimore County Police and Baltimore City Police are now asking for the community's help in finding Eric Carter. Anyone who may have information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or simply dial 911.
