The funeral for Baltimore County Police Officer First Class Amy Caprio will held Friday.
She was killed in the line of duty while responding to a call in Perry Hall Monday. Caprio would have turned 30-years-old on Sunday.
Her funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m Friday at Mountain Christian church in Joppa. It will be followed by a memorial service at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. A procession in her honor is scheduled to start around 11:30 a.m.
There will be closures and delays due to the procession. Officials said vehicles are expected to travel on 95, head east on 695 and then north on I-83, exiting at Padonia Road.
In lieu of flowers, Caprio's family asked people to donate to the Police Assistance Relief and the Humane Society of Harford County.
A candlelight vigil will be held at Parkville High School at 8:00 p.m. A candlelit prayer will be held at 9 p.m.
