Community raises over $30K for family of 21-year-old killed in Upperco bicycle crash

BALTIMORE COUNTY — Nearly $31,000 has been raised for the family of 21-year-old Isaac Scharbach, a bicyclist killed in a Upperco crash Saturday night.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with memorial expenses.

Police say just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a Toyota Matrix was driving on Mount Carmel Road near Pleasant Meadow Road behind Scharbach.

The Toyota hit the rear of the bicycle, causing Scharbach to fall.

Scharbach was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.
