Baltimore County to limit children's access to guns

Posted

The Baltimore County Council approved a bill to limit children's access to guns.

Under the bill, any adult who leaves a loaded firearm in places where kids under the age of 18 can find the weapon will face misdemeanor charges. Councilwoman Vicki Almond, who is running for Baltimore County Executive, introduced the bill.

The measure now heads to Baltimore County Executive Don Mohler's desk for his signature. The law would make the county's gun laws stricter than the state's.
