Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz recognized three women at the 'Women of the Year' Awards Ceremony for their good work in Baltimore County.
The event took place Thursday evening at the Baltimore County Council Chambers Historic Courthouse.
The awards were given to women in the community who have helped the lives of others and made huge impacts in the community, workplace, and schools.
Kamenetz recognized Lara Clary as 'Woman of the Year", a GBMC nurse and advocate for victims of sexual assault, Jenniffer Aubert-Utz as "Woman Making a Difference, the highest-ranking woman in the Baltimore County Fire Department, and Gabriella McLean as "2018 Young Woman of the Year", a senior at Catonsville High School who helps with homelessness in the community.
The Baltimore County Commission for Women was formed on January 3, 1977, by an act of the Baltimore County Council to address the needs of women through education, outreach, and advocacy.
