A 87-year-old man was struck and killed while using the crosswalk attempting to cross a Dundalk street, Sunday afternoon, Baltimore County Police said.
Officers were called to Belclare Road, near the intersection of Dundalk Avenue, at about 2:40 p.m., where crash investigators were responding to a pedestrian-involved crash. Investigators said a 2007 Ford E350 van heading west on Belclare Road struck a man crossing the road in a marked crosswalk.
The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m., police said. He was later identified as Victor Lengrand, of the 3400 block of Dundalk Avenue.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
