A 36-inch water main broke late Wednesday night in the 2700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway in Northwest Baltimore.
Three area schools are now closed.
Gwynns Falls Elementary, ConneXions and MATHS (Maryland Academy of Technology and Health Sciences) will be closed Thursday.

The Baltimore Department of Public Works says the incident could also affect Mondawmin Mall, Coppin State University and local rush hour traffic. Crews are currently on the scene.
Gwynns Falls Parkway is now closed between Longwood Street and Tioga Parkway. Alternate routes include North Avenue and Liberty Heights Avenue.
