A midnight crash Sunday in Baltimore left two dead and police looking for the driver of one of the involved vehicles.
Police responded to the intersection of Washington Street and Gay Street to the report of a crash. Due to the severity of the injuries, investigators from the Baltimore police CRASH Team took over the investigation.
A Honda Accord was traveling southbound in the 1500 block of Gay Street, colliding with a Toyota Prius heading northbound on Washington Street. After the accident, the driver of the Honda fled the scene on foot, while a 19-year old passenger was trapped inside the vehicle. He was eventually extracted and transported to an area hospital.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota were also transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where they died from their injuries. Richard Brown, 50, and Ruth Brown, 53, were identified as the victims of the accident.
