BALTIMORE — There are three Baltimore public pools that are not open.

The Department of Parks and Recreation says City Springs, Greater Model, and Central Rosemont were never open to begin with.

They said Greater Model was affected by the same broken valve that caused a water main break in Poe Homes. Although water pressure has been restored for Poe Homes residents, it will take time to restore pressure in the pool.

A reported power outage is to blame for the closing of City Springs. Parks and Rec says the outage blew out a motor and they are hoping it will be installed soon. They expect the pool to be open within a week after it has been filled and inspected.

Central Rosemont was also affected by a cracked valve and needs to be repaired.

The only pool that was open and had to be closed was Patterson Park, but that reopened Wednesday.

There are 16 other public pools that are currently running and functioning , according to the Department of Parks and Recreation.
