'Sex-for-repairs' lawsuit could be class-action

Posted

The Housing Authority of Baltimore City and 19 women who filed the "sex for repairs" lawsuit have agreed to settle the case out of court.

Advocates for those women have said that there are many more potential victims still out there, who have no come forward like the 19 plaintiffs. The settlement should allow them to come forward.

The settlement must still be approved by a federal judge and by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. If it is, the class-action status is designed to allow more plaintiffs to join in.
