The Enoch Pratt Free Library and ShopRite are bringing groceries to local residents in West Baltimore.

The library and the local grocery chain launched “Books & Bread at the Pratt Library,” to address the food desert surrounding the Pennsylvania Avenue Branch near Penn-North.

Beginning Wednesday, patrons can order groceries on the ShopRite website and have their order delivered to the Pennsylvania Avenue Branch, free of charge. Shoppers can pick up their orders and pay for items between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturdays.
