BALTIMORE — A pair of rescue boats caught fire in Canton on Monday morning.
Baltimore City Fire crews discovered two lifeboats engulfed in flames on the USNS Charles L. Gilliland near the 200 block of S. Clinton Street, shortly after 11 a.m.
The fire grew prompting a two-alarm response.

Firefighters eventually got control of the scene.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause remains under investigation.
