BALTIMORE — As summer gets closer you maybe planning a road trip to the beach or to see family. But are you sure you have the right car seat? Or sure is it installed correctly?

On Friday, there was a car seat check at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital. They want to make sure your kids are buckled up safely because it can make all the difference in a car crash.

"You have so many different car seat brands and styles and things it can be overwhelming, especially if you're a new parent. A lot of times with everything that comes with being a new parent some people underestimate the car seat, the importance of the car seat," said Lauren Brown, Community Advocate and Lead Car Seat Tech at Mt. Washington.

If you missed the event on Friday, you can call the hospital to schedule a car seat installation or to learn more about their car seat program.
