BALTIMORE — A world-renowned hometown artist was at City Hall on Wednesday.
Mayor Jack Young welcomed Derrick Adams and previewed his first Baltimore Solo Exhibition called "Where I'm From."
Nearly 30 years ago, Adams won the Baltimore city-wide student contest, "My Heritage Myself" and his art was put on display in Mayor Schaefer's office.
"It seems almost mindblowing and deja vu to be here again with another show as an adult and speaking more about the miracles of life and the positivity of coming back to your community that helped to raise you," said Adams.
His art is on display at city hall.
