Posted

The Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore kicked off Monday.

Part of the celebration involved involves an air show on Saturday and Sunday. The show will include performances by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the Royal Canadian Air Force and of course, the famous Blue Angels.

The week will also feature ship tours, the christening ceremony for the Navy's newest ship, U.S.S. Zumwalt and schooners.

Nan Nawrocki, Chairman of the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race says, "We'll have about 20 schooners in town, which is a good kick-off for Fleet Week. We'll be hosting all the Navy ships, with a few small, tall ship and they will start off Tuesday with a salute to schooners in front of Fort McHenry from 10 to 12. Then on Wednesday, we'll have the official welcoming events for the Fleet Week welcome ceremony," said Nan Nawrocki, chairman of the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.
