Two families have been displaced after a house fire in the 300 block of E. 21st Street.
Fire crews responded to the fire around 4:30 p.m. Friday. According to fire officials, heavy fire was coming from the second floor of an occupied dwelling.
Crews were able to contain the fire to original building before it spread to any adjacent properties. The fire was extinguished and under control within a half hour.
There were two families living at the location. Both make it out unharmed. There were no injuries. The damage is estimated at $12,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Baltimore City Fire Department is also on the scene of a fire in the 1700 block of Fleet Street.
