This Thanksgiving you may want to stay inside with your loved ones.
Because of the bitter cold this Thursday morning, the Baltimore Health Commissioner declared a Code Blue through Friday. This is the first Code Blue Alert of the season as temperatures, including wind chill, are expected to be at 13 degrees or below.

A Code Blue Alert is issued when temperatures are at or below 20 degrees, or the weather is severe enough to present a substantial threat to the life or health of vulnerable Baltimore citizens. Due to the Code Blue, homeless shelters will have extended hours to keep people indoors.
