A new affordable housing program aimed at helping artists and the homeless may be coming to Baltimore City.
City Planners want about 80 lofts to be built on West Mulberry Street at Eutaw to bring the community up.
Earlier this month, the French Development Company introduced schematics for the buildings, talking about how the exterior should look like an art installation itself, how the buildings would be attached, and how many floors they should have.
Right now, the plan is to have one five-story building with parking and amenity space. The other will be three stories with a gallery on the street level.
These will serve as low-income housing for artists as well as supplements for homeless.
