City firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 200 block of Douglas Court.
Fire crews reported seeing of heavy smoke coming from the three-story building.
Units were able to gain entry into the building and extinguished the fire at 7:50 p.m.
No injuries were reported, but two families were displaced.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
