This year's Light City festival has an extra incentive for those creating displays.
The Brilliant Baltimore Community Showcase Program is offering a grand prize of $2,018 to a group that creates a display featuring the festival's official colors of lime green, turquoise and pink.
It must be organized by a nonprofit or community group and on display from April 6 to April 21.
In addition to that prize, nine honorable mention prizes of $1,000 will be awarded.
Registration forms for this contest are due February 1.
The Light City festival kicks off April 14 through April 21.
